This hotel is a new leisure development and has been offering luxurious accommodation and spa facilities in the World Heritage town of Luang Prabang since October 2007. The Ramayana renovated from a large traditional Lao house, this grand old wooden house which is officially of historical importance and protected by UNESCO was built in the 19th century by one of the early French settlers. It was later offered as a gift to Prince Khammao who used it as a meeting hall for the officials of Luang Prabang. This building, along with another traditional wooden house on the site is now being carefully restored by local craftsmen employing traditional building techniques and materials.
